Case Study

While working with Korn Ferry, I developed, launched and managed a sustainability committee – ”KF Green”. Achievements included:

  • Gaining executive sponsorship and budget for projects

  • Developing project management tools including documentation, structured meetings, timelines, milestones and others

  • Assembling a team of around 30 employees and leading the team to deliver projects including:

    • Monthly newsletter each covering a different topic

    • Beach clean-up for interested employees

    • Guest speaker from WWF on single-use plastic, recycling and pollution

    • Removal single-use plastic from kitchen and office-based events

    • Implemented recycling bins and trained colleagues and cleaners

    • Green printing – adding codes to the printers reduced printing by 25% in the first 3 months

    • Branded reusable coffee cups for an anniversary event gift

    • Battery and e-waste collection

    • Clothing donation for earthquake affected areas in the Philippines

“While working with Korn Ferry, Elly played an instrumental role in setting up our KF Green program. She conceptualised the program, gained executive support, assembled a team, and project managed a number of impactful sustainability initiatives across the business. The KF Green committee had a real and tangible impact on work practices and made sustainability a core operating principle for the business. I was very proud of the achievements by the committee, and I thank Elly for the important role she played in this.”
